YNY Film Festival
We’re excited to announce films for the 2020 YNY Film Festival, curated by documentarian/composer Josh Waletzky. Films will be streamed over the internet to your home beginning on Wednesday morning, December 23.

2020 FEATURES: Yiddish in Shorts (6 short films), Chava Alberstein – A Source of Inspiration (2020, N. American Premiere), The Living Orphan (1937), Song Searcher (2021, Avant Premiere), A Kiss in Your Heart (2020).

YNY’s Dovid Braun & Josh Waletzky Talk About YNY on Radio’s Yiddish Voice!

YNY Yiddish scholar Dovid Braun, who also serves as President of the Sholem Aleichem Cultural Center, and YNY Organizing Committee member Josh Waletzky were recently interviewed in Yiddish on The Yiddish Voice – Dos Yidishe Kol radio program. It aired Wed Dec 11 at 7:30pm on WUNR (Boston) 1600AM “The Yiddish Voice – Dos Yidishe Kol.” In the interview Braun and Waletzky discusses YNY in general, and Braun additionally provides focus on his lecture series on Yiddish dialects, as well as the Dec 15 Sholem Aleichem Cultural Center presentation by Miryem-Khaye Seigel, and the Center’s campaign to raise money for a new roof.
