YNY Yiddish scholar Dovid Braun, who also serves as President of the Sholem Aleichem Cultural Center, and YNY Organizing Committee member Josh Waletzky were recently interviewed in Yiddish on The Yiddish Voice – Dos Yidishe Kol radio program. It aired Wed Dec 11 at 7:30pm on WUNR (Boston) 1600AM “The Yiddish Voice – Dos Yidishe Kol.” In the interview Braun and Waletzky discusses YNY in general, and Braun additionally provides focus on his lecture series on Yiddish dialects, as well as the Dec 15 Sholem Aleichem Cultural Center presentation by Miryem-Khaye Seigel, and the Center’s campaign to raise money for a new roof. One of the absolute highlights of Yiddish New York’s 2018 festival was the special performance by the A Besere Velt Chorus, which is the resident chours of the Boston Workmen’s Circle.
